Empowering South Waikato: Workplace Wellbeing & Resilience Event

In November 2024, the South Waikato Investment Fund Trust (SWIFT) hosted the Workplace Wellbeing & Resilience Event at the Tokoroa Event Centre. The inspiring morning brought together community members to focus on building positive, resilient workplaces and communities.

A Lineup of Inspiration

With the help from the team at ‘The Good Day Matrix’, SWIFT curated an exceptional lineup of speakers who shared their journeys, insights, and strategies for navigating challenges with resilience:

  • Seamus Marten, co-host of Between Two Beers and a seasoned marketer, MC, and sports commentator, brought his expertise and vibrant energy to the stage.

  • Cam Calkoen, a gold-medal-winning sprinter and motivational speaker, encouraged the audience to "dream big" and embrace resilience and confidence in the face of adversity.

  • Daz Burns, Director of Burns Construction and founder of The Good Day Matrix, shared her journey of leadership and innovation, inspiring attendees to foster well-being within their teams.

The event also featured South Waikato Mayor Gary Petley and SWIFT Trustee James Whetu, who each delivered insightful words of encouragement and highlighted the importance of resilience in the community. Their contributions added a meaningful local perspective to the day’s discussions.
